The Malaysian Judiciary, a record from 1786 to 1993 is a revelation as it is the only book of its kind in the market today. It traces the evolution of the Malaysian judiciary, spanning almost two centuries, starting with the occupation of Pulo Penang (as it was then known) in 1786 by Captain Francis Light. The embryonic beginnings of the legal and judicial heritage followed soon after with the introduction of the English Common Law in the new colony.
